On Wednesday, December 09th 2020 Customs proceeded to the incineration of drugs composed of Cocaine and Hashish. This drug was seized within the framework of operations carried out by Customs and the Navy. Representatives of all Defense and Security Forces attended to this operation.

The incinerated drugs were distribu as follows:

• 905 kg of cocaine for an equivalent of 72,400,000,000 CFA francs;

• 5,138.5 kg of hashish estimated at 45,687,600,000 CFA francs.

The hashish was seized by the Nationtedal Navy in April 2020. Regarding cocaine, of the 905 kg incinerated, the 164 kg were seized by the Dakar-Port Customs Subdivision within 3 different operations between 2019 and 2020. The remaining 741kg was seized by the French Navy in November 2019.
The high-temperature kiln destruction operation took place in the facilities of the “Société des Ciments du Sahel”, motivated to support the Customs Administration in this incineration of prohibited products.
The ceremony was chaired by Colonel Babacar MBAYE, the Port Customs Regional Director in the presence of the Head of the Public Relations and Communication Office, Lt-Colonel Alpha Touré DIALLO. Lt-Colonel Ibrahima THIAM, Head of the Port Customs Subdivision, Coordinated and supervised the operation.
