Regarding operations to secure the internal market and the fight against fraud, the Nganda Customs’ officers, and part of the Kaffrine Subdivision intercepted 264 bags of sugar concealed in millet and on board of a truck from Mbapp Lohene, a border village with the Gambia. The seizure took place on Wednesday August 19th, 2020 at 10 a.m. The total value of the fraudulent goods seized and the means of caching and transport is estimated at: 16,946,500 CFA francs. The owner was arrested and handed to the Kaolack Public Prosecutor’s Office.
