On Monday June 22nd, the Moussala Customs’ Office of (Kedougou) carried out a seizure of 175 kg of Indian hemp. The drug packaged in bags and was concealed in the chassis of a truck registered in Mali. Thanks to the agents insight the subterfuge was easily discovered.
The total value of the Indian hemp is estimated at 17,500,000 CFA francs. This seizure brought more than 500 kg the quantity of Indian hemp seized in one week within the Covid-19 special operations.
Security mission are going on throughout the national territory, on the basis of a special protocol decreed by the Customs General Director. This Protocol includes operations’ speed to avoid any delay in delivery. Also part of the Protocol, the protection of the logistics chain against the introduction of any prohibited products, the safety of populations and users and finally the protection of agents against contagion linked to the coronavirus disease.
