Senegalese Customs meeting pupils of the Mame Cheikh MBAYE Highschool, this Friday, January 24th 2020.
For the exercise, the Educational Committee of the said highschool chose the 100 best pupils of the school. They were entitled to exhaustive presentations on the missions of Customs, its role and contribution to sustainable development. The Censor of the Lycée, Mr. Diakhaté representing Mrs. the Principal, in a speech tinged with tribute to the Customs Administration, said all the satisfaction of the Lycée Cheikh MBAYE to host the Customs visit.
It was not without urging students to carry the message and educate their peers on the harms of fraud and illicit trafficking. The students, meanwhile, made the commitment to work hard to open the Customs doors. They also said that they were determined to work hard for Customs to be better known. The head of the Tambacounda Subdivision, the Customs Inspector Ibrahima GUEYE, for his part, reiterated the Administration’s commitment to always go to the populations to share with them, in order to create conditions for mutual trust. Throughout the exchanges between the students and the customs representatives, essential points such as the mobilization of revenue, security, assistance to other administrations, the contribution to sustainable development were underlined.
In conclusion, both Customs and the School have decided to continue working together to encourage vocations and above all popularize the missions devolved to the Customs Administration.
