On the Saturday night, 29th of June, Senegal Customs seized 798 Kg of Cocaine at Dakar port.
This drug was hidden in 15 new vehicles of the Renault brand. “Grande Nigéria”, the ship which carried these cars came from Brasilia. Under the supervision of the Head of OCRITIS, agents were controlling, and examining in details the seizure to gather all needed information for the investigation purpose.
Customs informed that investigation is being done with all the required rigor in such a case. In this operation, the Senegal Customs is opened for collaboration with all the Defense and Security Forces. Customs will always communicate, whenever necessary with openness on everything related to the matter.
The Senegal Customs put stress on a key mission of fighting against drug trafficking a fight for peace, stability and the economic and social development of the country. In order to face this planetary plague the collaboration and support of all Senegalese Defense and Security Forces are fundamental.
